Today, I attended the New Author event hosted by King County Library System. There were 12 other authors there. It was a great learning experience. I met several new Ryan and Robbie fans, and made another sale. Every event I do leads to sales, so that is good. There has been a growing interest in my books. Barnes and Noble is working with my distributor to stock my book. Next week, I will begin working on getting events set up with Barnes and Noble.
It was also good to hear from other authors, it is becoming clear that going the self published route can really be a good thing.

I learned about other events locally as well, e.g. Lake Forest literary event.

I am now reviewing my third manuscript about a bully. This is a very exciting book, and I am sure kids are going to love it.

Today I received a response from the Snohomish County Library system. They provided me the information I need to submit my book for purchase. Next week, I will send them a copy to preview. Also, I reviewed my product plan outline today, and I am making great progress in completing it. Queen Anne Book store sent me a note, and they are excited about the progress I have had with my book. We mailed books out to the King County Library system, so King County Library card holders are going to be happy to read my bike ride adventure. My second book, is going to move into editing phase tomorrow.
I had a great meeting to discuss the next generation of the Ryan and Robbie web page. Ryan and Robbie are getting great reviews on Amazon with over 4 stars and the reviews keep coming in. The meetings on toys are going well, and I will be adding the toys section to my business plan in July. I have created some really cool characters for the next book, and the feedback from kids has been overwhelmingly positive. More and more I am hearing from multicultural, chinese, and American families that the Ryan and Robbie book series is touching their hearts. We are also looking into innovative ways to generate content for Ryan and Robbie fans, and our web presence continues to grow with more and more interest every month.

We will continue to pitch Good Morning America, and Oprah on our new book series for a new world!

Today I met with a potential investor, and she was excited about where Ryan and Robbie could go. She loved the idea of a new book series for a new world, and was amazed at the progress that I have had so far. The other lines of business were very attractive, and I am now beginning to get so much interest from investors that I will have to wait until next round for some of the investors.

Today, I finished my second book and will begin editing it now. Also, I have been invited to a new authors event in Bellevue, WA. Another book store has picked up my book, and Ryan and Robbie received another check from a Washington County Library. In addition, I am looking into applying to more county libraries for Washington, California, Texas, Hawaii, Michigan, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, and possibly a few other states.

There have been many requests for me to work on a Kung Fu adventure, so I will begin reviewing a book that I wrote on Kung Fu, and start to polish it.

Today I talked to Jim Dumont about writing a business plan.

We reviewed the amazing press coverage that I received on Fox, and NBC.

We also discussed the ongoing pitch for Oprah and her producer and associate producer.

We discussed our plans to build out a business to deliver a broader Ryan and Robbie franchise along with the two additional books that I have written, as well as the 17 additional book concepts that I have written.

I explained to Jim the publishing business in general, and how I found my illustrator, book cover designer, web designer, PR team, editor.

We also discussed how I pitched local book stores, and Barnes and Noble.

We talked about building a framework that would help other authors step into the new world of publishing across multiple technology platforms from traditional print to iPhone, XBOX, Web, Kindle, etc. This may become a book in of itself.

We also talked about the recent interest that I have received from an investment group in the Bay area, that would like to invest up to $200,000 or more. There has also been interest from East coast investors, and a team in Redmond would like to work on Toys. Currently, I am researching manufacturers in China for children’s toys and I will begin preparing for discussions with Toys R Us. We also discussed how to branch out into the Mexican American market segment, as we are passionate about providing content for the new america of Multicultural kids. My next book has a great story that will help to do this.

Going forward, I will be working on keeping a Daily Start Up Diary.

My book has been accepted by the King County Library System, and they are buying multiple copies. I will be submitting my book to additional county library systems now that I have been given the seal of approval by the biggest County Library system in Washington State.
